Abstract

In this paper we will analyse the relationships between the growth of the product and productivity. We will study the performance of the income distribution determined by such a growth. Our statistical analysis will cover the 1970-85 period. To study this statistical investigation we will use two theoretical approaches: Kuznets' approach for the standard industrial growth and Kaldor's propositions about the subject. We will cover in this work the performance of industrial growth of Brazil and its Northeastern region. Finally, we will compare such performances.
