Abstract

This special issue of the Revista de Economia do Nordeste (REN) addresses a highly relevant theme in the context of economic and social development, given today’s global challenges—namely, the role that development banks and development finance institutions play in processes of industrialization, climate transition, and the reduction of social inequalities.

Economista. PhD em Economia. Professor Titular do Centro de Desenvolvimento e Planejamento Regional da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Foi Presidente do Banco de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais e da Agência Brasileira de Desenvolvimento.
